Nominations Announced for The 2024 JUNO Awards

On February 6, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced nominees and the next wave of performers for the 53rd Annual JUNO Awards, which will take place on Saturday, March 23 in Halifax.
Charlotte Cardin leads with six nominations, Daniel Caesar and TALK follow with five. Josh Ross, Karan Aujla and TALK were added to the list of performers.
Several artists from Nova Scotia received nominations, including Barbara Hannigan for Classical Album of the Year (Solo Artist), Jah'Mila for Reggae Recording of the Year, Marc Djokic for Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble), Matt Andersen for Blues Album of the Year, Mike Murley for Jazz Album of the Year (Group), Morgan Toney for Traditional Roots Album of the Year, and Rich Aucoin for Electronic Album of the Year. Chip Sutherland, an entertainment lawyer and artist manager based in Halifax, will also be honoured with the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award.
