Cavendish Beach Music Festival Becomes Rainbow Registered
The Cavendish Beach Music Festival (CBMF) is set to make history this year. On Saturday, July 5, CBMF will host the nation's first drag performance at a country music festival, showcasing its commitment to inclusivity, diversity and inclusion.
The highly anticipated Queens of Country drag show promises to be a loud, proud, and fun tribute to some of the legendary divas who have defined country music. Local drag stars Tori Nylon, Boof, and Lotti Max will lead the performance, which will pay homage to iconic artists such as Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood, and Shania Twain.
Rainbow Registered is a national accreditation for 2SLGBTQI+ friendly businesses and organizations in Canada. This designation ensures that businesses meet stringent standards to make 2SLGBTQI+ customers feel safe, welcomed, and accepted.
In addition to the historic drag show, the festival will feature a stellar lineup of country music performances throughout the weekend, including headliners Brothers Osborne, Tyler Childers and Zac Brown Band. Nova Scotia’s rising star Keira Loane will also perform on the Colliding Tides Stage on Friday, July 5.
A limited number of tickets are still available for the festival weekend.
