In an opening speech, members of the seven-person label explained the name originates from the South American fruit, lulo. The heart-shaped leaves of the fruit represent the heart the team put into this project.
After a warm reception from an audience of local scene industry representatives and musicians, special guests Tim Hatcher, Brandon MacDonald, and Izra Fitch of Good Dear Good treated those in attendance to an intimate acoustic performance.
The label recently announced Good Dear Good as the label's first signed group, and the band is set to release the first single, "Coffee and Sunshine," on April 19th.
A single release show will be held at The Seahorse Tavern on April 21st with Good Dear Good featuring Maura Whitman, Sluice, and June Body, starting at 6:30 PM.
