Sum 41 Cancels Maritime Tour Dates

With just days to go before they were set to appear on two Maritime festival stages, Sum 41 announced they are cancelling their shows—originally scheduled to be their final performances in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick before the band retires. These shows were two of six Canadian dates cancelled due to a minor back injury requiring a few weeks of physician-ordered recuperation.

Despite initial disappointment from fans, the festivals quickly turned things around. Area 506 secured The Beaches as the replacement Sunday night headliner. The New Glasgow Jubilee, after a brief 24-hour period, announced The Beaches and Death From Above 1979 as co-headliners, with an additional performance by POSTDATA.
