Support Alana Yorke and her family following Brain Surgery

Two years ago, Halifax musician Alana Yorke suffered a life-changing stroke, impairing her dominant left side and pausing her music career. Despite these challenges, she worked tirelessly to recover, releasing her album Destroyer in May 2024.

Following its release, Alana faced another setback - a rare brain condition called cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM), which led to severe symptoms and an increased risk of another stroke. To remove it, Alana is scheduled for open brain surgery on November 18th.

A fundraiser has been created to help Alana and her family with medical and living expenses. As musicians, Alana and her husband, Ian Bent, financial and community support is essential as she focuses on her recovery.
